To add an alert, click on the specific chart you would like to set an alert for.
Please note: If the indicator parameters or settings are changed after the alert is created, then the alert will be triggered using the old settings.
Need to change the symbol on the chart? To change the symbol or ticker, type the name or asset you're looking for directly into your keyboard. A search box will appear and you can select the symbol you want.
On the symbol and time frame you want alerts on, hover over the word of the indicator that you would like to add an alert for. This will bring up a set of icons to the right of the indicator name. (shown above)
Click on the three horizontal dots (More) to access a drop down menu.
Choose "Add Alert" from the top of that drop down menu. This will pull up a window where you can create your alert.
For all the alerts below we recommend "Once per bar" as the frequency and the expiration date being late as possible.
Open ended alerts are only available to TradingView Premium subscribers. Pro and Pro+ TradingView subscribers will need to reactivate their alerts monthly.
On the alert settings window, scroll down and you will see "More Actions." Here is where you can select a sound for the alert
Your sound settings will be saved from alert to alert. If you create an alert with a sound, the next alert will default to also having that same sound. We recommend not selecting a sound for every alert, as it can be a nuisance to the user.
Due to NCTA indicator upgrades, AES and Cycle Finder Plus are the only NCTA indicator you can customize the message you receive when the alert is triggered. The other NCTA indicators have the messages hard coded in. However, you can still edit the Alert Name. This is the name that will show in the alerts log message column.
